I'm probably due for an upgrade (which I've been thinking of doing). Now, is there ANY way to fix this problem? The only thing I can see wrong with my computer is that it is now 5 years old, and yes, it could potentially be that. But at this point, I feel like it's ALL of them. I was thinking of attempting to install the expansions and stuff packs game by game, then try them, game by game, after they finished installing to see which expansion was giving me a problem.

So I installed the next expansion, Sims 3: world Adventures. So I did another factory reset and installed the base game again. Today, the 15th of June, I came home from class to try it out and it was lagging AGAIN. I tried it out and it was perfect, so I went ahead and installed all the expansions and stuff packs I own. Once it loaded and everything was good, I installed the base game to the Sims 3 again. My dad is even an IT guy, who has built computers from the ground up, knows everything there is to know about them, and doesn't even know how to help me.įast-forward to yesterday, June 14th, 2016, and I decide to factory reset my computer, thinking that it might be something on my computer. I looked up tutorials on YouTube and through Google to help find ways to speed up my game, and again, nothing worked. I have many tech support friends who have tried to help me and nothing worked. Even if I turn up the speed or slow it down (the time in the game), it doesn't help. Now, all of a sudden, the game lags so much (less than every 10 seconds, approximately every 3 seconds) that I can't even play it.

Other than that, it ran smoothly, never lagged, never glitched nothing! The only problem I ever had was that, very rarely, the game would just up and force quit on me. It always worked very, very well, almost perfectly. My computer is qualified - actually overqualified - to play the Sims 3. I own almost all of the expansions (always had trouble with Island Paradise however, but this is a different story). To start, I have had the Sims 3 ever since it first came out.
